Setting up an internet site

Internet site that represents you sounds like the first most logical step to do after you decided to become an internet millionaire. So I did.

I choose a perfect name, very attractive, one word and related to the professional topic I decided to throw my professional knowledge behind. I set up shop and executed a professional looking site full of high quality information that makes sense to anyone who read it. I signed up for Google adsense and I waited for ad revenue to fill my coffers.

It has been three months; the amount of time I spend in adding high quality content on my site is huge. Everyone who stops by is impressed by the site; the problem is not enough people stop by!

So far to put this is dollars and sense terms as I promised; I have spent US$ 73.5 to set up the site, this price is not counting the hours I spent, and still spending to add content to the site. If that time would be counted the site would have cost a few thousands of dollars. Now to the revenues; I have earned US$ 55.5 from ad revenues on that site up to this point. That means that I am still much in the red.

A Million US dollars, is it possible?

We have heard it so many times, it is all over the place, we are actually bombarded with the same promise from so many self-proclaimed millionaires “buy my secrets and you too will be a millionaire”. So how true is the promise of these riches? Can you actually make a million dollar selling stuff on the internet?

I am out to test if it is possible or not. I have heard so many of these methods, from selling secrets on ebay to buying and trading in domain names, from affiliate programs to setting up your own sites. Everyone tells me that he or she hold the secret and I can get it for a small price, sometimes too small that it is tempting. But I had enough of all these promises, I am going to set up a small account and test some of the methods that I feel have more potential than others and report it here.

Basically, I am not selling you anything, I am just going to share with you my progress through this “adventure”. You would definitely learn from my mistakes and might avoid some of the pitfalls I have fallen through. But you can also add your experience to mine here and let’s make a circle of open-minded honest people who are trying to make a legitimate puck without cheating anyone. So through this blog, I will sell links to anyone interested, put ads, link to affiliate programs, buy/sell domains and put a summary of how much I am making or losing here for the public to see. No more, I am a millionaire follow my steps kind of BS. I am a real guy just like you, and I am not counting on making a real living of this any time soon. But who knows, if it turns out to be an ace, then I am all for it.
